Our story begins across the ocean, in a small town in Piraeus, Greece, where a hardworking man with big dreams ran a modest business and built a reputation for honesty, skill, and pride in every job.

In the late 1960s, driven by a deep love for family and the pursuit of opportunity, he made the courageous decision to leave his homeland and immigrate to the United States.

By 1970, he was brushing, rolling, and hustling his way through the American dream — launching a painting business built on sweat, skill, and no-nonsense values. With little more than his tools, his hands, and a relentless work ethic, he settled here and founded a painting contracting business in 1970.

What started as a one-man operation quickly gained a loyal following, thanks to his attention to detail, integrity, and old-world craftsmanship. Over the decades, his work became known not just for its quality, but for the care behind it.

Today, that same business is proudly owned and operated by his son, Dimitri, who carries forward the legacy with the same dedication and spirit his father brought from Greece. While tools and techniques may have evolved, one thing hasn’t changed: the belief that great work is personal, and that every brushstroke matters.

Job Title: Painting Foreman

Reports to: Project Manager / Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-Time

The Painting Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a crew of painters on residential, commercial, or industrial job sites. The foreman ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves hands-on painting work, crew leadership, client communication, and job site management.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Leadership
- Direct and oversee daily operations of the painting crew on-site
- Assign tasks to team members and monitor productivity
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members on proper painting techniques and safety procedures
Project Execution
- Read work orders
- Prepare surfaces and apply paints, coatings, and finishes according to specifications
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials
- Monitor project progress and adjust work as needed to meet deadlines
Quality Control
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and client specifications are met
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems quickly on-site
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact between crew, clients, and project manager
- Provide daily reports on job progress, labor, and materials used
Qualifications:

2-4 years of professional painting experience (residential, commercial, or industrial)
1–2 years of supervisory or foreman experience preferred
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, tools, and coatings
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and job specifications
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Working Conditions:

Work is performed at various indoor and outdoor job sites
Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, dust, and varying weather conditions
May require early morning starts, or weekend work depending on the project schedule

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
Comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
